Jeanie's next instalment......

Hi everyone!

Surprisingly, I don't have much to share with you....things have been incredibly uneventful here. We had the elections on Sunday and nothing crazy happened so that's good and all the Canadians got back here safe from their patrols. Now we're just trying to have enough fun things going on so that it seems a little less like groundhog day. I keep planning Beach Volleyball Tournaments so I can work on my tan. :) We had one a week and a half ago and I was playing in my sports top and shorts and ended up looking like a candy cane....red, white, red, white...:) The red stripe around my torso was definately the most humorous:) Next up is our Dodgeball Event of the tour. We are doing a 12 team dodgeball tourney with a barbq, beer and movie (Dodgeball of course) after, encouraging teams to come in a uniform and have a theme of some sort. If you've seen the movie, you'll understand how twisted this could become:) The days here are still sunny (every single day .... but I'm not sick of it yet) and warm (around 35-40) and then the evenings are cooling off. The view from the camp is really incredible, the mountains surround us and the sunrises (which I see a lot of thanks to early morning Unit PT) and the sunsets (again, evening classes so I get to see those) and the moonrises are the coolest! I'd take a picture but I
think its one of those things that you just have to see in person.

I had the chance to go back to the orphanage we went to a few weeks ago but unfortunately have to stick around for a sports day here, but I'm sending a camera for more pictures. I'm actually hoping to get off camp one more time to go to the airport for a massage....They have a little Thai woman who breaks you in half there which I could totally use right now. I miss our
physio/accupuncturist that we had in the camp in Bosnia! Here all you get to do is whine a lot:)

The highlight of my days right now is changing the deep thought on my autosignature every morning.....I've decided to try and twist whatever minds I can while I'm here to think like Jack Handy! :)

I'm missing Canada a little bit right now, although whenever I check weather reports suddenly things don't seem so bad here:).... I hope you're all doing great and enjoying your September. We have our Terry Fox run this weekend so that's what will be going on here:)

Living the dream.....:)
